SGK was founded in 1989 by a group of 25 persons to meet other country men/women and Greek people with Swedish connections and gather for fun and interesting activities together. Today the number of members are about 180.
The first Thursday of every month, we have our "Monthly Meeting", sometimes with a certain theme. We meet to socialize over dinner and a glass of wine at a restaurant for a reasonable cost.
Our program includes lectures of varying topics, from archaeological excavations to man's menopause! Among other things, we also organize outings, picnics, visits to museums, an annual crayfish party and we end the season with an annual Lucia party.
Besides our own programs, we also inform our members about activities arranged by the embassy of Sweden, the Swedish Institute and the Scandinavian church.
